24-12-98 Postmark Bal... to Miss Effie Harron, Ballinakillen, Laghey - With all Xmas greeting I send these curlers, they have been closed up in this box, but now they're out & we'll get a chance in the sweet by & by. Now don't eat too much on xmas day for we must go for a wee walk; I wish someone would send me a stick but no such luck maybe you'll asked Jack in the fair to send me a spear. Jack in the box says Su? race? lasted like no more. A happy Xmas & New Year to you.

I am enjoying my holidays fairly well, only I have got a very sore throat. I wasn't out on Sunday evg., isn't that a change, but then there's no value here. I have a very suitable P.C. for you, but I'll send it inside an envelope. There is a concert tonight & another on Wednesday night, I'm going on Wed, but I'm afraid fun won't be so great as at Cull??  Now see & enjoy yourself & have fine times, on for the 1st Sunday in May, I'm going out now for a ride into town. 7th April 1909 Postmark Londonderry to Miss Effie Harron, Ballinakillen, Laghey P.O., Co. Donegal - Safely landed in Derry. Just after my tea. Their were flowers in the room. Had half a mind to put them inside the skirt but didn't. This is the Pony Carriages we saw last year at Don- Please don't do me too much harm with D- If you do I'll kill you. Saw some one like J. 2) 1910 to Mr. Thos. Moore, Ballymagrorty, Ballintra P.O., Co. Donegal - Was indeed very sorry to hear that you got so badly punctured on Sun. night sure I told you to beware of the barefooted court on the Bridgetown Road as the thorns there are so very dangerous. Was it a slow puncture, or did machine get flat & broaden out, I believe the Racer got badly punctured in the fair - but only a slow puncture & won't come to a head - probably will close up again. The Singer & Royal Enfield have escaped punctures for so far. Pity you left the Solution & patches in S. N. S. & pump - watch the old make. Be careful Singer.
