15th November 1934 Postmark Baile Atha Cliath to Mrs. Annie A. Torney, Lonsdale, 6 Loopland Gardens, Belfast - 13 Eglinton Road, Donnybrook, Dublin 15th Nov. 1934 Mrs. A. H. Torney, 7 Loopland Gardens. I did not know there was anything wrong with the roof till I got your letter. I got the workman on the job the next day. The plumber found one more crack in the lead gutter, that is now repaired. We had a heavy fall of rain afterwards. I called to the house to day to find out if the roof was now watertight. I am glad to say it is now alright, no rain came through. Of course the wall will be damp for some time to come as it was thoroughly saturated with the leaking from the gutter for months. I don't think all the damp will have left the wall for a couple of months to come. Had Mr. Sullivan written to me and let me know the job was defective I would have it attended to without waiting for your letter. Yours faithfully B. O'Connor

Yours faithfully, W. Douglas, Secretary
