Wooden Box of Glass Negatives
William Carson born 1877 in Ballymena, served in Royal Field
Artillery for 8 years including 6 years abroad during Boer War and 3 years
in Army reserve. Re-enlisted on 28.6.1916 to serve in R.G.A. throughout
First World War. Described by commanding officer as a "Handy and trustworthy
man." After retirement from service he worked as a baker until his death in
1963.

1900 Queen Victoria send a tin of chocolate to every serving soldier in
South Africa, there's a lot of information online if you wish to research
this further, I won't include links as they tend to change or vanish
completely and leave us with a dead link
