5) The District Registry at
Belfast - Be it known, that on the 20th day of December 1915, the last Will
a copy of which, signed by the District Registrar, is hereunto annexed, of
Patrick McPolin/ in will written "McPoland"/ late of Ardtanagh in the County
of Down, Farmer, deceased, who died on or about the 28th day of May 1914, at
same place and who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at
Ardtanagh aforesaid within the District of Belfast was proved, and
registered in the District Registry of the said Division at Belfast and that
the administration of the personal estate of the said deceased was granted
by the aforesaid Court to Patrick O'Hare of Finnis in the County of Down,
Farmer/son in law of deceased/one of the Executors named in the said Will,
he having been first sworn faithfully to administer the same.
Reserving the right of James McAvoy the other Executor to a like Grant of
Probate.
6) Probate Engrossment - In the
Name of God, Amen. I Patrick McPoland of Artana finding myself weak in
body but strong in mind and understanding do hereby make constitute and
appoint this as my last Will and Testament. In the first place I leave
and bequeath to my son Arthur the little farm of land with the houses
thereon in which I now reside situate in Artana and subject him to pay all
my just debts and to enable him to do so he may sell the entire of my stock
and crop of which I am possessed of or that may be upon each of my small
farms immediately after my death and I also leave and bequeath to my two
daughters Mary McPoland and Ann McPoland respectively my small farm of land
in Artana commonly known as Downey's farm with the houses thereon which they
are to have free of all debts or incumberances and I further bequeath to my
said daughters Mary and Ann all the household furniture which formerly
belonged to the Downey? family and which are still in my possession and
further I leave and bequeath to my son Edward McPoland of Belfast the sum of
two pounds sterlg said sum to be paid to him equally between my son Arthur
McPoland and my daughter Mary McPoland hereinbefore mentioned and lastly I
nominate and appoint as Executors to this my last Will and Testament my
son-in-law Patrick O'Hare of Finnis and James McEvoy of Crossgare (Crossgar)
reposing confidence in them that they will so far as their wisdom may direct
their ? justice done to each one of the legatees herein mentioned Signed
sealed and delivered after being fairly read over to the Testator the
Testator signing in presence of the following witnesses and the witnesses
signing in presence of him and of each other Dated this 19th day of May 1914
