1) A Remarkable Escape from Death: "I enclose a photo. of my bedroom taken
on the morning of the great storm in Dublin - Friday, the 27th of February,
1903. I was sleeping in this bed when the large chimney-pot fell through the
roof on to my pillow. It struck my shoulder, and I jumped out of bed before
the great mass of bricks, slates, and timber fell through the hole in the
