Warrenpoint to Mrs. A. Woods, 23 Nansen Street, Falls Road, Belfast from
'Lisheen' 10 Great George's Street, Warrenpoint - My dear Al? First of all
let me wish you, Dominic & Colette a very happy N. year. I sincerely hope
you are improving. I don't forget you when I am in Church. Since coming here
I am doing better. The head still pains quite a bit & for that I take 8 tabs
each day. The marks are still on my forehead but it seems it takes an age
for them to wear off. It's beautiful here and I get quite a thrill looking
over at the little lights in the mountain side cottages in Omeath. They
bring back memories of many happy years there when we used to go up to the
Irish College. The McGees have me really spoiled. I've been out quite a bit
too, Dundalk, Newry, Armagh. I expect to go home next week end and D.V. on
Feb. 3rd. I'll fly over to London. Mollie has asked me over & I am looking
forward to seeing a few good shows. Mrs. Emily(?) Earley(?) writes often
from school & gives me all the latest. Between the weather & the forthcoming
concert I don't think I am missing much. I was in Newry to-day & called in
to see Sheila, she told me Nancy is back home again. If she's down be sure &
give her my love. I must get a wee letter off to her. I expect you see
Desmond & Peggy every day. Do tell them I was asking for them. They were
both very kind to me in the hospital. Now I think you have all my news up to
date. I'll surely call up when I get back next week. I must really stop now
& get this in the post. My kindest regards to everyone & much love to your
dear self. as always Jesie 1969
