1) 27th April 1956 Postmark Bournemouth to Miss Trench, 90 Sandown Road,
Belfast, N. Ireland - Bournemouth 27th I got here on 23rd after
a week with Netta (mostly in bed!) & all beginning to pick up at last. I
leave here on Friday & go to Milford House Hotel, Milford-on-Sea for a bit,
Dorothy has a friend there whom I hope to see. Don't think I shall be home

Travelling to London on Tuesday June 10th, so hope very much to see you on
13th as we planned, till 16th. I have not got Netta's address. Will you
write & request she comes to supper, write us on Sunday? Is there anything
you would like to see? We (or we go to ?) ????? try to get
tickets on any return. M. is wonderful, one needs the change & goes on the

Knockdene Park, Belfast, Northern Ireland - The Old Vicarage, Southborough,
Tunbridge Wells, Kent. 6th August 1958 I was hoping to see you
in London this spring as you said you might probably be over. My sister & I
left London on June 7th & were in Hants first & now will be here till Sept.
where I go to Huntingdon & my sister to Hants. We won't be back in London
till October, so fear I will have missed you if you had come to England. We
are having a quiet time here, very nice after the noise of London for so
long in the winter. Have met some very nice people & made friends & have had
a lot of lovely motor drives with them. Went to Canterbury yesterday. I was
so pleased to have met your cousin at last. My sister & I liked her so much.
She went to Scotland a few days ? we met. Hope you are fit & ? still alive!

Belfast - 27.8.58 We have had 2 glorious days of heat & sunshine.
Today is wet, but there is plenty to read. The country is very lovely & the
hotel most comfortable. Hope to be back at the Beeches on Saturday evening.

Please excuse a post card Aunt Lou to thank you very much for your Christmas
present of a diary, it will be most useful. As you see from the address I am
at the ? in Austria, having a fortnights skiing (for the 1st time) with a
party of 19 from Cambridge. We got here on Sunday afternoon, after, for me,
about 48 hours without much sleep. But there's plenty to do to keep one
awake. I'm a starter at skiing, but thoroughly enjoying it, energetic and
wet though it is! Sorry about this scribble, hope you can read it O.K. Love

Knock, Belfast, Northern Ireland - Cangort? Kitale, Jan. 26-1959 Many
thanks for yours of the 10th. I do hope the radiator & new larger
electric fire have helped to keep you warm through the bitter January month
you have all had. I came up here on the 19th & go back to Burleigh on the
20th till my flight back on Feb. 15. The time out here has gone so quickly -
Both Eliz. & ? have been ill since xmas but now better. Eliz. was quite bad,
poor mite? But ? are in good form. It is lovely to be here again, we stopped
a night in Umbali, Uganda, and drove back round the far side of Mt Elgin? a
lovely drive. It was v v hot. but now a thunder storm on Sat. has brought
showery weather, though it is still much warmer than Londiani?? I am glad
you heard from Mary Dunlop who I suppose ? in Edinburgh & now I look forward

Belfast N.I. - 8.6.59 We had a lovely drive down on Saturday & got in by
7p.m. the road is very good all the way. This hotel overlooks the entrance
to Cork Harbour & the view is glorious. We are down with some friends for

wet day since I came although its been cold. Time flies and I shall soon be
on my way back. We are going to the theatre tonight to see "The Mousetrap" -

3) 17th May 1960 Postmark Ullapool, Garve, Rosshire to Miss Trench, 90
Sandown Road, Knock, Belfast 5 - I hope you had an enjoyable time in Dublin
& found Lady & Mrs. Gilliland in good form on your return. I get back on
Friday. We have been very lucky in weather & the colouring ? is wonderful.
We seem to have covered most of Scotland & do the West Coast this week. B.
4) 21st June 1960 Postmark Belfast to Miss L. J. Trench, Lismore, 90 Sandown
Road, Belfast N.I. - Glengormley Hotel, Callendar Monday We have
had a very restful and comfortable weekend here. The drive up from Glasgow
was through lovely country Yesterday after a long rest & church we spent the
late afternoon by Loch Katrina. The weather has been very kind & we are
getting quite sun burnt. Our address in Skye will be Atholl Guest House,
Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, & we get there on June 25th. We have no other
arranged address, but are faring very well. Hope all goes well with you.

Lismore, 90 Sandown Road, Belfast, N.I. - Tuesday 28th. This is the Castle
which gives its name to this country side. We are delighted with this place
& have had rides through some beautiful country, Many thanks for your
letter. Please be careful not to fall before I get back to alter the sun
blind. I am glad everything is going smoothly. Hope your weather is as good
as ours, we have had only one wet day since leaving home. I wonder how the

Street, Eastbourne, Sussex 25th July 1960 It seems so long since I
have heard of you, I am wondering if you have had your yearly visit to
England yet. I left London in June & stayed with my brother & sister-in-law
& they motored me down here from Fleet, calling for my sister on the way at
Aldershot when she was, we will be here till 4th Sept. when I got to
Huntingdon to a friend & I will then wind my way east to London W.H.! where
my sister will turn up some time. I wish we could meet, we always miss one
another when you are over - if you get anywhere near here let me know &
perhaps you could come over one day - Hope you are fit. How ? got your card
& I hear from L. O'Loughlin? & my ? maid & a few others from time to time &
my old maid? sends me Newry Papers occasionally. ???? love F. A. Eustace

Road, Knock, Belfast - Cork 25/7/60 Visited this lovely place on our
way South on Saturday but unfortunately it was very wet. Today we went to
Lismore Cathedral & tomorrow we go west to Killarney. I am enjoying it all

Sunday 4p.m. Dear Louise, We got the ? home safely & in good spirits.
We have stopped here for the - hotel marked by x. A lovely view toward
church & bridge. Have secured required accommodation in both Dublin &
Kilkenny as we wished so all is well for next weekend. We set off in
brilliant sunshine from Dublin & it has been lovely all the way. If the man
comes to put up coat hooks - please ask him to put them above the radiator
in hall near your sitting-room door. The coats will then get warmed & dried

Knock, Belfast - 25/8/61 Spending a few days at the seaside before my
return. It was lovely here yesterday but to-day also, there is a steady
drizzle. It has been lovely seeing all my old friends again & so very kind
of you to treat me to lunch. All too soon the day of my return (30th) will
dawn & I must make my way back. Still I'll be glad of the better weather in

Road, Knock, Belfast, N. Ireland - Sat. Aug. 26th This is the last day
of our stay in Belgium, yesterday afternoon we went to the atomium? and we
visited each ball in turn. It was very exciting. On Thursday we went to
Bruges and had a trip on the canals in a boat. The weather here was wet and
cold but of course now, the day we are leaving it has to be as sunny as

of 18th. Please excuse only a P.C. in reply but arthritis is in my hands
now, and writing more difficult. Weather was stormy in Oban and I picked up
a germ & returned with bronchitis which laid me up for a fortnight but I am

its stones. The sun is trying to pierce the mountain mists & the weather
looks promising. We had a grand day of sunshine yesterday & negotiated the

Co. Dublin - Vaughan's Hotel, Lahinch, Co. Mayo. Sunday Had a
splendid run down yesterday, road very good all the way. We have decided to
return by Dublin & would like to spend next Sunday night in Dunlaoghaire.
Would Lismara H. have room? if not, we will find a bed somewhere else for
the night. We had storm & rain this morning but it is lovely this evening &
we went to the Cliffs of Mohr after 5 p.m. service. Hope all is well with

I was so glad to hear from you & to know you keep very well. I am delighted
you are coming to the Valley. New management there now. I will be so glad to

- Nearly at the end of a wonderful holiday. Have to meet umpteen pals & got
acquainted again with grandson, who is a gorgeous bundle of atomic energy!
