since the 13th & have had a nice time. We went one day a tour to the
Trossachs & another day to Oban. They were fine but I think the Oban one was
the better of the two. Hoping you are all well & feeling better of your

Park, Southampton. I came here a week ago to stay a few weeks with Auntie
Anne. I was sent away for the change to see if I could get rid of the cough
I had. It is very pretty all round here, only we have had such a lot of rain

Price, Killaney Lodge, Boardmills, Lisburn - Arrived here quite safely
yesterday, and got house without any trouble, lovely view from it. Nellie
has just gone to get her hair set so we are knocking about till she comes

is a very tiny house, the white part only, but the scenery is not on such a

lovely sitting in the valley gardens listening to the band. The weather is

night. It is very nice here. Went into Harrogate yest. aft. & sat in the
Valley Gardens & had ices, & listening to the band. It is much gayer than
when we were here 3 years ago. Going into Leeds this aft. The weather is

week or 10 days. Weather up to date has been glorious, today showery. Ruby
is with us for her 3rd week. She was 2 weeks over N. & D. are in P.rush.

House. Shops are lovely here, great crowds on the streets. Much love

a very nice district. J. & I. went into the West End all day today & went
round the shops. It was wet on Tues. morning so we went to the pictures in

Boardmills, Lisburn - Llankerris? 23.8.33 What a lovely holiday we are
having, weather perfect, scenery wonderful. Went over the Denbigh moors
yesterday and on to Bala Lake, and passed this, a lot of interesting places
on our way. To-day Snowden is not cloud caped, so will climb. Home Sat

sweetly cool. Lovely sunset just now over Bradda Head and Mourne mts. clear
on the rim of the Irish Sea until an hour ago. Now rumblings of thunder in
the N. and a blue-black sky (Stephen's Ink), & downpour imminent. Have had a

we are staying, we are up on the head at present, Nann is in the water,
ideal holiday weather and very pretty surroundings, the Island is most

the days go in here, we are ½ way through the week. Glorious weather
yesterday, rain all day on Monday. Saw Ronnie on Sunday at the Far Strand.
We are off there now for a bathe. Hope you are all o.k. and that this

yesterday again, we went out in the lovely sunshine along the front, if we
had thought you would be along we would have stayed in. We will call on our

place we should have stayed. Grub excellent. Had a game this a.m. & went to

3) 13th June 1935 Postmark Stratford-on-Avon to Mrs. price, Killaney Lodge,
Boardmills, Lisburn, N. Ireland - Wed. We arrived here today & are staying
till Sat. Ruby's doing the driving well, we did 100 miles yest., stopped a
few hours? at Matlock on the way. The country all the way was very
beautiful. Norah & Poppy are with us. We have booked 3 plays in the
Shakespeare Theatre here, Norah & Poppy were at it today & saw "The Tempest"

4) 13th July 1935 Postmark ? to Mrs. Price, Killaney Lodge, Boardmills,
Lisburn, Co. Down - Castlebar 13th July. Had a most gorgeous run in full
sunshine through Connemara. You haven't seen Ireland at all, at all, if you
haven't seen Connemara. Spent one night in Athlone, last night on pr?? of
peninsula on Lake tee?, one of hundreds of lakes of the district. Mountains
enormous & glorious sunshine. Have just got here from Westport? for Sligo &
we hope Rossnowlagh. Wish you were sitting beside me, much love J. Car
coming as I write. Father Brian & self. Looking over this bridge and see
hundreds of salmon, so near yet so far.

small family from the South in the house and we are most comfortable, to-day

lovely beach. My but it is hot. I do nothing but dry myself all day. I am
sitting under the pines now as it is much cooler. Everybody is either
