Buccleuch Place, Edinburgh, Scotland - 5/7/33 1882 Dorchester Street Ws.,
Montreal Road, Canada. You may or may not have received my recent
letter with printed envelope covered with yellow paper. I just cannot spell
this name straight away, but let me hear from you per return. I have been
laid up with a bad leg, my varicose vein burst in my ankle and caused an
ulcer, so cannot walk & suffered terrible pain with it. I must have knocked
it, anyway Dr. says I am suffering from slow pulse & low vitality, due to
worry and poor food. Did you have John? Florence gave me a huge photo
17112 she is pressy as a picture.

much better. Hope you feel the benefit of your holiday and that B. is

its quiet to-day by the Orangemen. It is the ??eat Day of the year here.

Down, N. Ireland - I am writing this from Milan while waiting for Robin, who
is in the B.O.A.C.? Office finding out about some picture business. We are
going to look at the Gallery here when he is finished. We go back to Lugaus
to night, and then on to Switzerland on Wednesday. Hope you are not too
lonely without Dorothy, so glad she can stay the few days with Nannie. We
had our first rain last night ever since we came away, it is dry & close
to-day. The L Haumens? were at the meeting on Sunday at Coms.? Lots of love

Saalbach, Austria 11.2.53 - This is a general view of Saalbach. The dotted
line is the track of the large ski lift and from the top it gives the
various ways you can come down. To-day I went by bus to Zellun? ??? and then
up the Schmittenholme? on a cable railway. From the top you get the most
marvellous view and a fine ski down. Roger is better but doubt if he will be
fit to travel by w/end, Eric

We are just about to leave for home, but I thought I must write you and
since writing the letter I have terrible news. Mrs. Oliver who we thought
was getting on so well, died suddenly yesterday morning, a terrible shock
for everyone. Poor Mr. Oliver, the Funeral is 2.30 p.m. Coombe Street,
Monday, we will try and get home tomorrow night, so as to be there, Daddy
perhaps would like to write him a note. M?????????? has been withdrawn from,
also the costs of ? a Solicitor, love Grace

sorry indeed to hear of your accident in Kates' letter. Hope you are
comfortable & will soon be allowed out. We are enjoying our holiday very
much, only two showers since we left home last Wednesday. Hope to go to
Harrogate & spend the day there tomorrow. We leave for the Lake District on

you with Edith last week. Mrs. McKelvey died while we were on our way home.
Port Erin is looking very gay with everyone in Wed attire. Farmer Hoult &

Down, Ireland - Sunday, We have got as far as Washington, and it looks a
nice city with lots of grass & trees, but all this afternoon there has been
a big storm, so we haven't been out yet, it is very hot. So sorry to hear
about Uncle John, how sad for both Bertha and Alec, let me know what
happens. I expect Ann is with you, I hope she enjoys herself, we have had

long ago it is I spoke to you on the phone and by sending this post card I
want you to know that I really don't forget and won't forget you. How
terribly kind of you to let me choose a book as a leaving present. My choice
will be a book of Dr.? Loydd-Jones? and Mr. Spink will buy it for me. I
cannot tell you how thankful I am and I am sorry that I have not written a
letter to you, but I am terribly busy here, especially with packing things
for our holiday and arranging things in the house. This post-card gives you
an idea what Ulrich is like, not much in comparison to London!! I thank you

thinking about you & wondering how you are. Hope you weren't bothered by the
riots etc. It's exactly a year ago right now that I was with you. I have a
diary & have everything I did every day in it, have been looking at it &
remembering all the good times we had. I really enjoyed it! Hope it's not as
cold there now as it was when I was over (My first few weeks with you, it
was pretty cold) Have a parcel to mail you & one for Mildred but I just
don't have time to get them wrapped & mailed, had them both really to wrap &
send for ages! Must! get at it soon! Our mtgs are in a couple of weeks &

couldn't come this week-end as it's only 1 week til our 3 day mtgs. We still
