3) Ulster Weddings: a) Jones - Shannon: All Saints Parish Church, Belfast,
was the setting yesterday for the wedding of Mr. Frederick Peter Jones,
youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Jones, Malone Hill Park, Belfast, and
Miss Ann Shannon, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Shannon, Wolseley
Street, Belfast. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. S. Smart, assisted
by the Rev. Canon A. McKelvie. Given away by her father, the bride wore a
gown of white nylon chiffon and Guipure lace, with slim-line skirt flowing
into full train. She carried a bouquet of pink rose buds and lily of the
valley. Miss Jennice Shannon and Miss Evelyn Williamson were the
bridesmaids, and the best man was Mr. Thomas Jones, Mr. William Finlay acted
as groomsman. After the reception, which was held in Woodbourne House Hotel,
the couple left for the honeymoon in the Channel Islands. For travelling the
bride wore a green worsted suit trimmed with mink and * brown accessories.

~ b) Crawford - Laverty: Mr. Peter Crawford and Miss Jean Laverty
were married in Immanuel Parish Church, Ardoyne, Belfast. The bride-groom is
the youngest son of Mrs. Crawford, Ormiston Crescent, Belfast, and the late
Mr. J. J. Crawford, and the bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J.
Laverty, Charleville Street, Belfast. The Rev. T. W. W. Jones performed the
ceremony. Given away by her father, the bride wore a gown of white
chiffon appliquéd with Swiss embroidery, featuring a full-length train. A
bouffant veil of French silk net was held in place by a chaplet of hand-cut
chiffon roses, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and freesia. Miss Ann
Tilly was bridesmaid, and the best man was Mr. Ivan Crawford. The reception
was held in Conway House Hotel, Dunmurry. When leaving for the honeymoon in
England, the bride wore a coat of brown street velvet and toning
accessories. Complete bridal trousseau and bridesmaid's gowns by Morgan,
