- On the Beach at Ballycastle. 5th August 1915 Postmark Ballycastle. To Mr. William McGowan, c/o Mrs. McMullan, 17 Clune Brae, Port Glasgow, Scotland from B. Hill - Dear Willie, I recieved your P.C. a few days ago and was glad to here from you were very sory after you for we had no company since you went away but I hope you will soon be back again.
2 - Lighthouse, Yaquina Head, Newport, Ore. To Mr. Frank King, 15 Southport Street, Belfast, Ireland - Isn't this a large lighthouse. I was there yesterday, 7 miles from here & walked 5 or more on the sands so you will see how long the sands stretch, the ? on Maine? is just beyond this you will find it on the west of America, it is the f??est point, your father could find it for you. I wish Minnie & Jamie? were here they would enjoy it as I am. It will give me a good summer, I feel so much stronger already. Tell father I can use my finger so will write him when got ? I was out on the second balcony, you see how high it is.

- Ocean Lake Park. Postmark Twin Rocks, Oregon 22nd August 1914. To J. S. P. King, 15 Southport Street, Belfast, Ireland. Minnie and I are enjoying a real good holiday here, everything is just in as much a state as you could imagine, plenty of climbing & lovely scenery. Minnie is just gone to bathe has only missed one day. Each of us have gained 4 lbs in two weeks, I feel like 20 years of age. M. & J.
2 - Motor Car, Tillamook Co. Oregon. Postmark August 191? To Miss Winnie King, 15 Southport Street, Belfast, Ireland. We passed his car on our way down to (Neah-kah-nie) were we are staying, the strand is very like Portrush only much larger, we were in paddling yesterday, the water was very cold. The waves are a tremendous size, I never saw anything like them, be sure & write soon if you saw me now you would not know me as I am just like my favourite colour, can you guess, write soon, Minnie
