April 2nd: Party assembles at Bloomfield Avenue (N'Ards Road end). By Coach
to Heysham Steamer 8.00 p.m. Steamer departs for Heysham. To
Berths on Steamer not later that 10 p.m. please 9.40 p.m.
Tuesday April 3rd: Arrive Heysham approx
5.00 a.m. Train departs 6.30 a.m. Breakfast on
Train. Arrive London approx 11.35 a.m. Transfer to
Hotel. Lunch 12.30 p.m. Afternoon: Sightseeing by
bus - Introduction to London Transport. Return to Hotel for
Dinner. 6.30p.m. Early to bed on first night!

Afternoon: To Tower of London to see Crown Jewels, etc. 2.00p.m. Dinner 6.00
p.m. Evening: Visit to B.B.C. Television Studios - Kenneth Horne Programme

of Parliament for East Belfast. A "Belfast Telegraph" Photographer will meet
the Party at Westminster. Dinner 6.30p.m. Evening: Theatre Show in
West End of London 7.30p.m. Friday
April 6th: Morning: Girls. (1) Kensington Palace Coronation Robes, etc. are
on view. (2) Then via Underground from Queensway Station to Bond Street
Station for window shopping. Boys. To Science Museum - Developments from
Stephenson's 'Rocket' to Whittle's jet 'plane. Lunch 12.30p.m.
Afternoon: By coach to London Airport, with conducted tour of the Airport
and Terminal Buildings. Dinner 6.30p.m.

Ulster Pupils to see London Soccer Match - Thirty boys and girls from
Ashfield secondary schools, Belfast, now visiting London, have been given
free grandstand seats for to-morrow's first division football match between
Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa. They became the guests of the club
through the influence of Danny Blanchflower, the Tottenham Hotspur and
Ireland captain, whom they will meet shortly before the game. A present is
being given by the children to Mr. Blanchflower. Last night the party
visited the London Hippodrome where six of their number were received during
an interval by Max Bygraves, the comedian to whom they gave a gift for his
children. Led by Mrs. J. H. Bradshaw, Mr. Tony Flack, Miss Maureen Dickson
and Mrs. Ellie Thompson of the teaching staff at Ashfield schools, the
pupils are making a thorough tour of the capital's principal sights before
returning on April 11. Yesterday they were taken over the Houses of
Parliament by Mr. Alan McKibbin, M.P., for East Belfast. The Royal Mint,
Kensington Palace, London Airport, and the B.B.C. television studios are
also in their itinerary.
Saturday April 7th: Morning: Shopping - a first
look at the Shops. You are advised not to buy until Monday morning - Study
prices instead! Lunch 12.30p.m. Afternoon: Visit to a Sports fixture
and a greeting from Ireland's Football Captain - Mr. D. Blanchflower. Dinner
6.30p.m. Evening: Saturday night in London. Walk around the "bright
lights." 8.00p.m.
Sunday April 8th Morning: Church Service
9.30a.m. Afternoon: To grounds of Hampton Court Palace via the River
Thames, returning by train. Dinner 6.30p.m. Evening: Church Service
7.00p.m.

Monday April 9th Morning: Shopping in Oxford
Street and Regent Street 9.30a.m. Lunch 12.30p.m. Afternoon: Visit to
Shell-Mex House, one of London's largest buildings, with a wonderful view
from the roof. The Management are kindly entertaining the party to tea.
Dinner 6.30p.m. Evening: Activity for our final evening will be
arranged 6.30p.m.
Fleet Street in the morning to Belfast Telegraph
Tuesday April 10th: Morning: Free for packing,
etc. Lunch 12.30p.m. Afternoon: Leave for Euston Station. 5.00p.m.
train departs for Heysham. 6.20p.m. Dinner on Train. Embarkation on
Steamer immediately on arrival at Heysham. Berth on Steamer.
Wednesday April 11th: Arrive Donegall Quay
approx. 7.00a.m.
The Tour concludes on arrival at Donegall Quay. Parents and pupils please
make their own arrangements from there.
